What to do in an emergency

An emergency is something that could not have been foreseen, and which could cause serious damage to the property. For example:

  • Severe leaks – please check to see if your water stop tap will isolate the leak.
  • Fire – Please call 999 immediately.
  • If you smell gas or detect a gas leak open windows to ventilate and call the National Gas Emergency service on 0800 111 999
  • Loss of electrical power or light (Please check electricity Northwest for local power cuts Electricity North West (www.enwl.co.uk/)
  • Blockage of your only toilet.
  • Loss of heating or hot water.
  • Broken windows or doors following a break-in.

Please note that if your Landlord manages your tenancy then you must call them.

Out of hours emergency.

If you have an out of hours emergency when our office is closed, please take the following steps:

  • Ensure that you are experiencing a true emergency and that the issue cannot be resolved during our opening hours.
  • Dial 07958 250901 and outline the emergency for assistance.
